The end of the wire is part of the design
Resources
Two wire parts of the same diameter can behave completely differently depending on how their ends are finished. The end decides what the part can hold, slide into or hang from.
A threaded end takes hardware, so a formed part can bolt into place. Roll and cut threading puts threads on wire ends here in the shop.
A chamfered end eases assembly into sockets and holes. A coined end forms a feature into the wire itself, where the part needs a shoulder, a flat or a seat.
There are more endings than these three. Tell us what the end has to do and we will match it.
We also supply straight lengths, cut and ended, for shops that do their own forming.
